What makes our piers light years ahead of the competition?
We think of our piers more than just a stand. We designed and manufacture them to be a super solid platform for your valuable and high quality equipment. We were the first manufacturer to fully engineer our piers then 100% machine them from the highest strength aluminum and stainless steel alloys - not fabricate them from welded tubing or pre-formed extrusions (profiles also know as T-slots). We were the first manufacturer to place as much important on the aesthetics and the fit and finish as the rigidity and performance. We were the first to offer a host of features never before incorporated in piers (variable height portable pier, full index adapter (360 degree rotatable pier adapter), advance leveling, fine height adjustment build-in the shoes for critical polar alignment and many more). We were the first to offer both anodized and powder coated finishes in various colors and combinations. We set the standard, others try to follow (just look around and you will see copies of our FIA (360 degree pier adapter, Pinnacle Pier, segmented design and etc.)
Compare our piers and you will realize there is really only one choice if you would like the best, not to mention the most for your money
We are now accepting orders for our new Monolith LT piers. Two sizes are available – 7” and 10””. The 7” and the 10” models are available in both fixed and variable height models. The variable height models are available in fully manual adjustment; hand operated variable height, and fully motorized electrical version (push button and software control). The first to be available is the 7” version. We have already sold out of our first production and are accepting orders for the second production due to ship early March. The specs for the 7” version are as follow:
- Fully engineered for maximum rigidity, lightness, dampening time and ease of use
- 100% CNC machined from 6061, 7075 aluminum alloys and 416 and 17-4 stainless steel
- Pier diameter 8.6” with the legs closed
- Foot radius/base 48” with the legs fully spread
- Variable spread legs
- Fully supported legs
- Weight for 31” fixed height 18 pounds, 36” and 42” -19 and 21 pounds respectively, manual variable height 23 pounds, motorized variable height 29 pounds

- Fixed models available in various heights.
- Variable models available with 17” of height adjustment with maximum height of 48” (super fast adjustment without removing a number of knobs)

Please note the pictures below in particular the second picture with HGM-200. Thought the 7” version is not designed for such a large and heavy mount, it can still easily handle the load for not only visual use but CCD imaging. The HGM-200 pictured was used for our testing using a C11 (total weight of over 160 pounds). With an 11mm Nagler (255X magnification), the image dampens in a little over 2 second when a strong impact is introduced to the telescope. The Astro-physics Mach1 carrying a custom 8” f4 Newtonian with the same 11mm Nagler dampens in 1 second. Up to now, this level of performance could only be achieved from a larger and much heavier pier.
