Telrad Finder Chart of 200 Bright Planetary Nebulae
Planetary Nebulae are particularly interesting objects. They are the stellar graveyards of the galaxy, and represent older stars that have blown off a shell of gas and settled into dwarf status. They come in many different shapes from smoke rings to dumbells, and often show color to the human eye unlike many other deep sky objects. This makes them particularly nice targets for large dobsonians.
The descriptions provided on the chart are in the NGC abbreviated format. Since that can be difficult to decipher, the translation is provide on the outside back cover of the TFC so you can put a finger in the page and check to see what an abbreviation says.

The TFC version works with the Telrad finder (4:2:0.5 degree rings) and the Rigel finder (2:0.5 degree rings) by using the inner two rings on the chart.

Each comes with a check-off list for the objects in the book.
The catalog names are retained and cross referenced with the NGC designation. The tables give enough information to be sure you correctly identify it when you see it.
