This 8.8mm is one of the original eyepieces Meade offered and was constructed in Japan. This eyepiece like all the UW's has a 82 degree field of view. This ocular is in excellent condition and is one of the better higher power oculars available. Both the Meade 14mm and 8.8mm Ultra Wide Angle eyepieces started a small cult following and you can see why when you view through them.
