| Ken this is very nicely done. You have a great setup for taking astro shots...the E180ed should be perfect for widefields and the 130 for the mid length Fl's. The canon chip is really quite large...full APS sized. The amount of coma in the corners is very common and actually not excessive for not using the flattener...and Brians advice about the proper spacing is very important. When you really zoom in you can see some color artifacts in the background that can be removed quite easily in PS. You'll find that processing these will take the longest to learn, but it is a fun journey. I'd recommend Ron Wodaskis new book on processing..the The NewAstro Zone System for Astro Imaging.... I think the book is worth the price just for the section on curves alone. Great first image, and I look forward to many more from that great setup. best regards, bud

| Thanks for the recommendation on the book. I've ordered a copy. I guess chip size is relative. I selected those scopes specifically because I am planning on using a Canon 5D and SBIG STL11000 - both of which are full size 35mm.
