Anyone using the 5d?

I am waiting for my SBIG STL series camera to arrive but until them I was "toying" with the idea of using a Canon 5d until then.

Is anyone here using this camera and if so what are the results?

I know a couple of guys in Australia who are, and I am using my 20D with some success, especially the bigger globs. I must admit to liking the ST8 better for DSO's though. Partly the cooling, and partly the built in guiding.
I'd definitely try it though.

I currently have a SBIG on order so far now I have to make due with what I have. I bet the senisitivity will be a lot less than the SBIG but I guess its something that I can learn on until the STL arrives.

Hi John,
A friend of mine, Kirk Rogers, has recently started using the 5d. I don't see much on his website (http://www.kiroastro.com/), but he has a contact link there and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to share his experiences with you.
