Default The Beautiful Rosette

Hello Friends,

Happy New Year.....
I took the Ha for this a few days ago....and with the clouds the color is looking real doubtful. I took some color with my NP101 and same camera last year.
This is the combination of four different nights of ha and color from last year.

larger sizes:

This started as an Ha image taken 12-30-06.
I added some color taken in Nov 2005 and some more ha taken in Nov 05 and 06.
All image sets were reprocessed in CCDStack then aligned in Registar, and then combined in PSCS2..also using Noel Carboni's AstroTools.
approx 2.5 hours of color
approx 8 hours of HA
Telescopes: Epsilon 180ED and Televue NP101
Camera: SXV-M25C with Astronomik 13nm and IDAS LPwith color
Celestron CGE Mount

thanks for looking, comments are appreciated

Yes, I agree, beautiful.
How you get to combine etc many separate nights of imaging amazes me. Well done.

Thanks Brian and Gary,

Gary, I bought a program that is specifically for this purpose. It is able to match different focal lengths, from camera lenses to long focal length SCT's

It is called Registar http://www.aurigaimaging.com/ It is the absolute best program that I've ever bought. It actually does everything that it said it will.
What used to take me hours in PS to try to align, I can now do in minutes in Registar.
It allows me to take good information that I had taken a year or more ago and combine it with information taken yesterday...and align it perfectly.

If you have lots of stuff that you might want to use....try downloading the program..it has a trial period...make sure to watch the little tutorials.

Gary, the clouds are why I bought the program......Since I've moved to the NorthWest from the desert in Calif., I have come to realize what lots of rain means.
So, with the program it allows me to do things like the rosette, with color taken previously.
With my new, big and wonderful new scope (thank-you Brian), I want to reimage almost everything.....but you can only do what the weather allows.

Bud,
in a round about sort of way, I see what you mean, clouds, and the need for this program. I give the demo a try.
Regards,
Gary
