Default M31 - Andromeda Galaxy...

This beast is just too big to fit in the field of view of my telescope even with a focal reducer so i taped my digital rebel on top of my scope and did 18 subs of 3 mins each using a 75mm-300mm at almost full zoom unguided. Some subs was tossed out but i'm not sure how many. Stacked in DeepSkyStacker. Processed in PS and cropped for framing...

Reprocessed.

So, "I taped my digital rebel on top of my scope".....well, this really worked out well.
Very nice image.

Now that is what I call productive use of duct tape!

Excellent work, you've managed to bring out quite a bit of the faint stuff.

Thanks guys, You comments is appreciated.

Dciobota, I laid a towel on my scope so the cam wouldn't scratch it but i didn't use duct tape, i used black eletrical tape.

Ahh a towel, a most indispensable item, never leave home without it (with deference to the late great Douglas Adams). Electrical tape, second most useful kind of tape.

My motto is, whatever works, looks can always be fixed later.
