| Couple nights ago the skies cleared enough for me to get a few subs of the Iris Nebula. After i got 11 subs it clouded over again, i'm not surprised. The object was a bit low in the sky and it's a bit faint so i was hoping for more subs. Anyways here is what i did capture with the 11 subs, iso 800 and 300 secs each. ![]() Last night it cleared up again and i figured i'd try the Crab Nebula. It also is 11 subs, iso 800, 200 secs each. ![]() |

| Very nice imaging of both the Crab and Iris.. What scope/ccd camera did you use? Quote:

| Thanks for the comment. I usually add the scope and cam but forgot. The cam used was a Canon 350D unmodded, scope 10" meade classic sct with f/6.3 focal reducer. |

| Nice shooting, Ed...The Iris came out particularly well...the color appears to be right on. This is not an easy target to get the outer areas and keep from blowing the central area, but you handled it very nicely.
