Default M51 - Whirlpool Galaxy...

It's a bit noisy even though i had lots of subs. I think i was a bit off focus with this and it needed lots of sharpening. Maybe i'll try this object again sometime.
45 260 sec subs @ iso 1600.

Maybe a bit noisy and a little elongation, but still a very nice shot.
Do the individual frames show the elongation?...and what stacking algorithm/software do you use?

Nice color on the image. I didn't realize that the noise level seen with DSLRs allowed 4 minute subs. If they continue dropping the noise on these cams, the cooled cam manufacturers will have some real pricing competition (as in get reasonable, or go out of business).

that is a very nice shot, Ed.
I believe you'd just need a bit more exp time to get rid of the noise the best way possible.
