Default NGC 2392 in color now...

hi guys,

o.k. here we are:
I have tried to kind of match the distorted and differently bended
rgb files with the luminance result I have posted recently.
I had to this in photoshop,...it was hard,...but it worked fairly
enough to present this l-rgb version here.

data:
luminance:
9"f/18 TMB Apo using televue big bralow
SXVF H36 - crop (as I told you less than 50% remained...it'S the
files issue that I will have to solve with a decent flattener...

l = 18x4 minutes
7 dark frames
r,g,b 9"f/9 5x4 minutes each.
maxim color calibration:
r=1.3
g=0.8
b=1.1

this was trial and error stuff, since I will have to do a G2V star
color balancing with the entire system...

thanks for taking a look.

As I said in another post, Dietman, brilliant work!

I have a few Televue PowerMates as well. How did you hook things together for a reliable connection? I'm reluctant to put all that weight on a 2" compression ring setup.

I'm wondering if the optics in the 2x are simple enough that Ashley can engineer a new holder for the optics with threaded connections.

...thanks Neil.
Wel,, I would preferr a threaded connection, but there is none,...yet.
I have replaced my big barlow (2 lenses) with a televue 2" powermate (4 lenses), as I believe it to meet the optical accuracy of my (almost) perfect 9" TMB apo way better than a "2-lenser"...
so - it is twice the 2" compression ring setup,...fairly stable enough.
I am trying to figure out a way to cut a threaded adapter...
luckily my CCDs are low weigth items... (-:
the monochromatic CCD I am just about to call my own will be the CCD I had tested last year...SXVF H16.
I am looking forward to operate that great CCD again.
also very low weigth!
I'll keep you informed.
I hope to have some new rsults until the two of us meet in april at NEAIC (-:

Terrific, Diets. I might even contact Ashley to see if he can do up threads for both ends on my PowerMate.
