Default SH2-119 The Clamshell Nebula in Cygnus

Hi Friends,

This is an image that was taken over 8 nights in Aug and Sep of 2007. I had wanted a bit more information, but somehow just never got to it.
This is a very dim object that is south and west of the NorthAmerica nebula in Cygnus.
This is an HaRGB image that has combined about 8 hours of HA taken with the M25C osc and about 3.5 hours of color RGB from the M25C.
small version:

larger versions:

All of the HA was taken during periods of moon light which made it a bit tough to get a lot of signal, but better than nothing.

specs:
Telescope: Epsilon 180ED
Camera: SXV-M25C
3.5 hours of OSC RGB and 8 hours of HA with the M25C
acquired with AstroArt using CGE mount
Processed in ImagesPlus, CCDStack and PSCS2

here is a shot of where this is located in Cygnus:

thanks for looking and comments/suggestions are appreciated,

hi Bud,
good to see something from your standard equipment again!
just another great nebula, I did not know yet.
all those large cale nebulas seem to be very faint and therefore even so much exposure time still could use some more data, as you said.
nevertheless it is a very nice result! and we have to consider, h-alpha was taken with an OSC.

how could you stand letting this data hover around at your hard drive so long...without processing and posting it...(-: ?

Thanks Diets....it is dim, and I may have processed some of the background out in an attempt for noise control.

I have about 20 gigs of stuff I haven't processed yet.....ooops.

20 Gig of unprocessed photos? How many hours of photon collection is that? You must be retired.

This one is nice, look forward to seeing some more of them.

Hi Bud,
heck it must be dim to require all that exposure. Nice, and it would be good to see more exposure too.
