Hi Joe,

I'm glad someone is getting some clear weather......a very nice image...with lots of other fuzzies in the background.
Do you use a coma corrector with the R200SS? (MPCC? or Paracorr?)

Hi Budd, I use the coma corrector that belongs with R200ss. I have one more night of clear sky , then more rain. Frustrating!!!!

Hi Joe,

I have two of the R200SS's and the coma correctors never quite worked for my camera.....of course, the M25C chip is quite a bit bigger. I've never tried my H9C with the original and figure it should work quite well. I think the R200 is one of the finer scopes on the market......is very fast, very light and the optics seem to be very, very good. When I finally figure out which scopes I'll be keeping, I'm sure the R200 is going to be one of them........very nice focal length and fov for most subjects.

Hi Bud, I don't seem to have any issues with coma corrector. The stars on edges of field still look round to me. There is some vignetting in the 4 corners. Otherwise, I agree with you, I like this scope. I started making a different spider with thinner vanes, that is the only negative I can find, the thick vanes. I would love to get the SX 16, the 4 MP camera, maybe when they get cheaper. I am getting a chance to try the QSI532, being that I am one of the organizers at NEAIC. I will probably get spoiled and refuse to return it.

I'm very happy with the QSI....it is a wonderfully easy to use camera. It has very low noise...not as low as the SX cameras, but with its NABG chip it is really sensitive and I bought it mainly for HA/Narrow band use.

Thanks Dietmar, looks familiar, huh? I saw yours after I imaged mine, and I thought, " Dietmar is going to think I am following him" So, to give you a heads up, I am working on NGC4565. Clouds keep fouling me up and its taking me a few nights to get it. Plus its close to the trees for me, so I don't have much time to get it.
