Default The Crescent in Widefield

Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've posted a picture....lots of rain and clouds. I recently had a few days with no clouds, fair seeing and partial moon.....I spent about three nights on NGC 6888, the Crescent Nebula and environs.

Larger sizes:

I also added some HA that I took using the M25C osc.......here is a link to the standalone HA of the area:

HA images

There really is alot of "stuff" in this area........here is a link to a VERY widefield of this area that I did awhile back.

Widefield of Cygnus area...different sizes available

You'll see the crescent on the right center.....when looked at at this scale the crescent is really quite small compared to the rest of the area.

Hopefully, the weather is going to clear for awhile and I'll be able to play with some of this new equipment that I purchased last winter.

comments are always appreciated,

hi Bud.
so you are finally back to work - this is very good to see!
obviously in this long time you did not get rusty at all! *ggg*
...and that result of yours is exactly what we all here have been waiting for, my friend: at least another gorgeous image-series from Bud!
this overview of this exciting area is very impressive! you did a great job on this, and I am glad weather permit this.
but I am completely overwhelmed with the super-wide-field image holding "it all": pelican, crescent, cirrus, etc...
this is absolutley marvellous! it is so cool to take a stroll through this giant field!
as Don said, it is mind-blowing!
are you planning on putting colors to that...? if weather only may permit this!
again, congrats on this series!

btw: it is about time to edit the "signiture" in the forums...I think there has been a wee bit of an upgrade of your equipment... *ggg*
