Default The Coathanger or Brocchi's Cluster

Hi all,

I was waiting for M27 to pass the meridian and thought I'd see if I could get a shot of this neat little asterism.

It's a fairly short time of 13@3min, but the E180 gathers quite a bit of light in a short period of time.

larger sizes, here:

Telescope: Epsilon 180ED
Camera: SXV-M25C
13@3min acquired with AstroArt using ME mount
Processed in ImagesPlus, PSCS2

thanks for looking, comments appreciated,

Nice shot Bud. This is always a nice one to take a peak at when I think about it, although your image takes it to a new level for me.

thanks, LM for taking a look.....it's odd but sometimes the "quickys" turn out the best.

Hi T,

I use ImagesPlus for my Bayer conversion, aligning/stacking and combining. I will sometimes split the lum and RGB and take it into CCDStack to use the deconvolve routines.

I use AstroArt for acquisition.

Any one of the above programs can be used for the processing, but I have found a bit more control in my current method.

I also have MaximDL, but for the life of me I can never get the ddp stretch or the deconvolve to work right......and I know this is me not the program. I'm looking forward to the rainy/cloudy period coming and I'm going to give some real attention to learning MaximDL.

thanks for the nice comments,
