| I do not personally have one but based on the CN review by one of their staff, Tom Trusock, I would be nervous. I admit to prejudice regarding WO however as any manufacturer who has had public fights with their optical designer and a business partner within two years, as well as being discontinued as a carried vendor by two of the largest dealers in the country last year, makes me figure something is not right. This is true whether the dealers dropped WO or vice versa. I have seen claims made both ways. I know of no other manufacturer or distributor with a comparable record. It is certainly not typical of the industry so far as I am aware. |

Company 7's consumer optics division has picked up _some_ of the WO scopes. Backed by Company 7, one can now purchase a WO and be covered by C7's quality assurance before the sale and their ability to repair anything someone breaks after the sale. http://www.company7.com/wo/index.html http://www.company7.com/repair&rehab.html If you read their write-up you'll find one of their signature traits -- they're blunt and up front about what one can expect for the money, no sugar coating, even critical (see their write-up of Meade for another example) of the manufacturer when it is deserved. No inflated claims or sales hype. It's a feather in WO's cap to be carried by Company 7 and gives them a leg up on similarly priced competition. |
