| Jim, Great image....I like the foreground tree limbs. Gives the picture a nice bottom "Frame"and also tells the viewer about the "Season". I was wondering if you had taken another exposure (much faster) from the same set-up, ie. camera mounted on tripod, scope, or some way to keep framing of moon the same for multiple exposures. Then, in Photoshop, you could combine good exposure for background, with shorter exposure for sunlighted side of moon (under exposed sky and Venus), getting the best of both "worlds". I might try something like that (unfortunately I've missed close approach to Venus) to try and get a young moon with twilight sky and also get the details on the illuminated limb. | No I did not Jon but that is a great idea for the next time maybe not with Venus but for a nice Earthshine image. Gotta remember that.
