Default Moon and Mars...

I used my Canon 350D on a tripod and a 75mm-300mm lens at full zoom to capture a couple different exposures. On the longer exposure that i used for mars i noticed a few faint stars showing so i used PS to bring them out a little more.

Nice job, Ed..and the brightening of the stars really gives it a nice perspective.

Like Bud mentioned, I really like the way you were able to capture the moon and the stars/mars in the image. Also, the framing is quite nice and a nice perspective with the other objects in the background.

Well done!!

it's a very good photo.
last night i used my nikon D50 with a 55-200 lens but the moon was making so much glare that could not see any of the moon features, are you using any filter for your photo?

Rashad,

Trying to take the moon, while it is full, is very difficult. There are hardly any features because of its brightness......It is much easier and detail shows up much better if you do it other than full.....either before or after full. Usually 1/3 to 2/3rds is best and you'll get the major definition along the terminator.....this is the shadow line.
