Hi John,

Looks like a good grab and go setup you have. What kind of eyepieces are you using.

Jim

The Orion "shorty" barlow is actually a very good barlow for the money. Very good quality and made in Japan.

Highly recomended!!

Hi John,

If I was you, if you like this hobbie alot, plan on getting some good eyepieces.
I think my barlow is sitting under the house somewhere, because I like the TV powermates alot better, however the 3 apo barlow looks good. Chances are you will be taking pictures, web camming, so kind of plan in that direction so your equipment will get used.
There is sooo much equipment to consider buying and it's alot of fun. But I think you will move up to a larger scope as this hobby tends to make you do it. The barlow tends to be a doublet and cut the eps in half Like a 10mm turns into a 5mm. The powermates 2.5x 4x, 5x do it the same but are very well corrected. Though I mix and match some times I recommend to stay with one manufacture. Meade eps, meade barlow.

Jim
