| My astro buddy just purchased a Meade LXD-75 Schmidt Newtonian 8" and we are trying to use a Canon EOS 20d camera with this scope. He purchased the 2" nose piece/T-Adapter so that the Canon simply inserts into the focuser on the Meade. With this, we can not reach focus! We need to go in further but it is already seated as far as it can go. Does anyone have a solution for this problem and how we can obtain focus? Thank you in advance. Ken S |

| Ken...I'm not exactly sure, but it seems to me there might be an extension on the focuser as it comes from the factory that needs to be removed first. Right from the manual: Unthread the focuser extension tube (Fig. 22b) from the focuser drawtube to remove from the focuser assembly. The T-Adapter (2, Fig. 22a) threads onto the focuser, followed by the camera body (1, Fig. 22a). Steve |

| Thank you very much Steve for your informative post. I will try this hopefully this weekend so we can see what the heck is going on. I am pretty sure that we removed that part you described from the focuser but we did not connect the t-ring directly but have it on a 2" nosepiece that we inserted into the focuser. Maybe this is taking up too much space and not allowing the camera to come to focus. I will let you know what I find out hopefully this weekend. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond.
