Finally...an image to post! (DWB-111)

It's been a long time coming, but finally an image to post!! <g>
This is DWB-111, The Propeller Nebula, a.k.a., Simeis 57 or MRSL 479, an emission nebula in Cygnus.

About 12 hours in total...presented through three images; one illustrating the Hubble Palette (SII/Ha/OIII), the second illustrating a synthetic green approach (Ha/sG/SII), and finally, the H-alpha data on its own.

I hope you like. As always, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. I've been twiddling with this one for weeks...

Hi Neil,

Very nicely done...I like both palettes.

I've taken this object a few times, as part of a widefield....but never at a longer focal length. I'm hoping the new mount will allow me to capture some of these objects with a bit more detail.

Very nice processing of this image, and a very interesting subject. The HA image is able to stand on its own, but your synth green version is a winner on this one.
