Default The New Mount

Hi All,
I'll join the fray, and while it is not my first scope, or mount, I am absolutely delighted to have received a new mount from Brian at B T Tech. I felt I needed goto, and Brian supplied a new EM200 Temma. It even matches the old FC100, and will provide a real tidy imaging platform, both for the FC100, and the 10" homebrew newt. Just had to shoot a couple of pictures to show it off.
Regards, and many thanks to Brian.
Gary

Yep, can't wait. I must admit though, attaching the scope via the clamshell isn't too much of a chore, except I can only use the one scope. The 10" is wanting to be used as well. But it will have to wait until the winds drop, as it is certainly a large sail area.
Thanks again for all the awesome service,
Gary

Cool looking mount. I especially like the way you have it on that pier. It looks really sturdy and a lot better than using a simple tripod.

Frank,
the "pier" is a length of 6" steel pipe, and on legs, with wheels. I am able to whell the unit (normally without scope) out, and I have three "dots" on the asphalt, where I then wind/screw down three "feet". This allows me to have everything out in one trip, and one more for the OTA.
Then I have a similar piece of steel pipe sunk into the ground a short distance away, this is significantly more stable than my wheels and feet, and when I image I usually use the in-ground job. Both have the same method of fitting the mount, and when one is polar aligned, both are. It is a simple matter of attaching the mount and it is aligned.
Yes, I do have a tripod too though, just in case I take the gear on a trip, but by and large all is done from the backyard.
