| hi folks, let me introduce a quite unusual mount to You. feel free to enter my observatory - You`re welcome: http://stargazer.christelhager.info/index.htm as You can see my "trinity" is a heavy load a 9", 5" and 4" Tmb Apo. ![]() to have the option for precise guiding a stable mount is requested. I decided to pick "mountegra" "she`s" a hungarian product of Gemini - Andras Dan. http://stargazer.christelhager.info/vendors.htm Andras managed to create a one arm fork mount, that is fully adjustable to the weigth it`s carrying. I can move the short horizontal axis to balance the scopes, and I can move the vertical arm up and down on request. I do not need any counterweigths. that`s cool, people! it was a clear cut case for me to pick a fork mouint for comfortabilty - I did not want to bounce around a german eq-mount I had before. mountegras performance can be read here: http://stargazer.christelhager.info/reports6engl.htm thanks for looking guys! best regards dietmar |
