Very nice Scott.

On the rings for the smaller scope there appear to be two rectangular plates.

What are those for? Of whose manufacture are they? Are they simply to stiffen the rings?

Hi Ken,

Those rectangular thingies are Telrad baseplates. I have one mounted on each side of the guidescope rings. That way I can position the telrad on either side for comfort. That's all .

Although seeing was iffy and the moon was at 97%, I gave Saturn a shot at first light.

Not too bad Scott. Are you able to post the stacked, but not waveletted BMP please, it would be good to play with it. NO, I don't want the avi, just the stacked optimised BMP (about 900kbs). You most likely have it perfect, but it is always good to try.

I normally save the stack as a TIFF file. Email me for the bmp. I can't post the file as a BMP (195KB) because it exceeds the file size (19.5KB) allowed for upload and it won't let me upload a TIFF.

Scott, if you haven't tried already, you can create your own picture gallery and upload monster sized images.

Click on the top where it says "Gallery" and you can upload all of your images.
