Cool Re: What refractor(s) do you use?

Say so many familiar names here already !!!

Well, I'm very happy that I'm using my 4-inch Tele Vue TV-102 and 5-inch Tele Vue NP127 both christened the "Light Cup" .

So glad to be here and looking forward to many memorably fine discussions.

Ron,
It's good to see you here. Last Saturday I was doing an OPT club demo
not far from your place. I was at at San Pasqual Battlefield State Park by San Diego Wild Animal Park...
Although the sky was very transparent ... it was 24 degrees at 9:30
PM. No wind though, so it didn't seem so bad. I still left at 10

Thanks John. Wow, I guess I missed you at OPT; I was there on Sun. afternoon however!

We'll have to get together sometime amongst 'em lions for sure but 24 degree (and the recent cold spells are just too much for my reptilian skin .

I have a Tele Vue 85 and a Tele Vue Ranger. I use the Ranger mainly for daytime nature work and hikes, which is what is was designed for! For the 85, I have an alt/az set-up for quick looks, and a CG-4 with custom wooden legs for extended sessions. Which there have been far too few of lately!

PJ,

How do you like the Tak 76? I've heard great things about it. A friend has an FS78 that I've had side by side with my TV85 many times and it's a great scope. We've had both scopes up at 500x on doubles with great results.
