Default Re: Help with software for Philips SPC900

Last night was clear and great seeing. Problem temp. dropped 17degrees from 11pm to 4am. The TOA could keep up. I was able to try out the SPC900 and V Record. I everything worked fine but the video is captured in MPEG. Single images were captured in JPEG.

I have a few questions.

1 How do get V Record to capture in AVI?

2 I downloaded IRIS (havent tried it yet) will IRIS control the SPC900?

The first image was 100 single's captured with V Record and the SPC900 stacked in Registax 4. I know the SPC900 image should look better than the LPI but it doesnt. I just need some time and steady temp.

Second image was captured and stacked with LPI and Autosuite. No processing.

Remember I was fight a lot of tube current so the images are not very good.

Please give some feedback and help and ideas.

I now have PS 7 and thats going to be a long learning curve.

Please feel free to work with any of the images.

Thanks
brad

Brad H,
Thank You ! I've had the same problem, where my new
spc 900 only recorded in mpg. through Craterlet I can now
record in AVI and use Registax to align them. I haven't gotten a
night picture yet, but will soon.

I've not tried it yet, but I've seen good results with "RotandStack"....
google it for a download, it's listed as freeware....OOPS...it only works with jpeg's and png's.
