The Oregon Star Party comes alive August 28-31 with another great outing with warm sunny days and cool clear nights in the high desert area of Ochoco Mountains 50 miles east of Prineville, Oregon. At 5000' feet in elevation and 50 miles from the nearest city, the sky is so dark that the milky way is the major source of light pollution. The saying the 'you gotta see it to believe it' is no truer anywhere than at OSP. Need help for yourself or the kids? Then our mentoring programs are designed for adults and kids. Don't want to bring food? The Chuckwagon and Espresso Blast will be up and running Wednesday for dinner until lunchtime on Sunday. Speakers and activities during the day and really dark skies at night, what a way to finish off the summer.
So, plan now to join us for the 22nd annual Oregon Star Party. Pre-registration closes tomorrow, Friday, August 1st. More information available at

See you at OSP!
