Default FS-60c & EOS400D

Hi,
I've ordered an FS-60C for guiding with my DSI. In addition, it will be an unguided large field imager with Canon EOS 400D till I get my main imaging scope.

Which parts do I need to use EOS with my FS-60C?

I think new FS-60C F/6.2 flattener and EOS T adapter (wide?) must be in my shopping list.

I also want to be able to use 2" filters (like Baader UHC-S or LPS) in this combination.

Thanks,

Fatih

Curioius what software you are planning to use with your 400D.

I too am using a 400D until my STL11000 arrives. Just the evening before last the developer for Max DSLR managed to deliver beta code to me that actually works with the 400D.

AstroArt doesn't work (I'm in communication with them and a release that works with the 400D is supposed to be coming) nor does the release or beta versions of MaxDSLR.

ImagePlus is supposed to work but I haven't yet received my copy to confirm that.

Ken:
Have you tried "Nebulosity"? The features page lists the 400D.

Not sure about the software yet Ken.
I need a shutter control solution too. I've just ordered GPUSB from Doug (http://www.store.shoestringastronomy.com/gpusb.htm) for DSI guiding and saw that his Shutter Control Works with 400D. http://www.store.shoestringastronomy...roducts_ds.htm

There is no information about 400D in DSLRFocus site.

I saw your previous post about timer in Canon form. Above shutter control may help you too Ken. (Not tried yet ofc, I'm at the research stage...)

You may want to look at this http://www.stark-labs.com/phdguiding.html software for guiding with the DSI.

There is a yahoo site for help.

According to FS-60C System Chart I'll need below equipment:
(I use doubler too)

FS-60C
\/
16 TKP20001 Aux. Ring n°16
10 TKP20005 Visual adapter n°10
60 TKA00594 Doubler attachment 2X n°60
35 TKA31201 CA35 n°35 photo adapter 2"
32 TMW0212 T Mount for 35mm CANON
\/
EOS 400D

All I need is to know which parts are included (If any) in std. shipment and which parts are extra.

ok found answers to my questions.
There is an FS-60C chart in Takahashi Japan:
http://www.takahashijapan.com/ct-pro...FS60C_main.pdf

When you translate it using Bablefish, things gets clear.
Parts 10,14,16,46 is included. That means only buying T-Adapter as an extra part is enough to connect EOS to FS-60C.
