| Texas Nautical was gracious enough to send me their first version of a Compaq PDA already pre-loaded with the mobile version of The Sky software. This small computer makes it VERY convenient to operate my Takahashi NJP Temma 2 mount!! All that is required to operate this is to connect one end of the cable to the mini-din connector on the mount controller and the other end into the PDA. You turn on the handheld PDA and voila, you are up and running!! It really could not be easier!! I am currently working with TNR and have asked them for a few features that I feel would make the PDA even more user friendly. A really cool option that we are looking at is to make it wireless so that you don't have to worry about tripping over wires in the dark. The PDA will soon be offered as an option for every Takahashi Temma mount sold in the United States. Previously, one would have to connect a laptop computer to the mount controller in order to use the go-to feature of the mount. Another method was to purchase the Takahashi hand controller but many felt that this controller was bulky and not user friendly enough. The new PDA controller will make using Takahashi mounts in the field a lot more user friendly and simpler negating the need to carry around a computer laptop. Another option that will be made available is to have the unit pre-loaded with T-point at an additional charge. I have attached an image of the PDA and will add more information and specifications as soon as they are available. Prices currently have not been set but it is expected to be released at under 500.00 which includes The Sky software pre-loaded. If anyone has any questions or suggestions about this new product please post it here.

| Isn't that an HP product? Is that a model 2795 or 2495?

| I'm not sure what the exact model is Ken as I don't have it right in front of me. I do know that it is a Compaq but HP bought them so I guess "technically" speaking it is a HP product.

| I am not really complaining Gary as it is now here!! Bluetooth wireless will be next but need to see what the most cost efficient way of implementing that is. For now, even with the cables attached it is sooooo much more convenient to use that dragging out the laptop computer. For those that do imaging, the laptop would be outside anyway but for those that wish to do a lot of visual work, this is something to consider.

| I thinks this is great Takahashi. I looked at Takahashi mounts before I got my AP900. The one thing that kept me from getting the Tak mount was dragging a laptop out everytime. Brad |
