Takahashi just shipped the first 2 new "Q" to our distributor and they are now being evaluated!!!

Here is a picture of the New "Q" next to the older FSQ.

Is that the older FSQ or the FSQN? I had the gen1 FSQ and recall the last element was rather close and could make contact with a diagonal if you were not careful. Great performer. I wonder if the new one will need the extender-Q for visual use.

Hello guys...

Yes, the new "Q" is the one pictured on the left and the older version witht he retractable dew shield is on the right.

You can see that the new Q is indeed much shorter than the older version by a large amount.

We should have our shipment arriving for the new scope in early May.

So, are there any reviews or images made with the "new Q" out there?
Beeing the premier flat widefield scope in it?s class it should have a decent review by an respectable amateur imager with a large ccd. Preferably with all "the bells and whistles" like the reduser and extender-q.

I am out to get a new fast wide scope, but not before I have seen a proper review on the ED.
