Default TOA 130 Focuser Conversion?

Anyone ever upgrade their TOA 130 2.7" focuser to a TOA 130 4" focuser? I'm assuming it's not too difficult provided you can get the 4" focuser somewhere. Would there be collimation problems? Art, anyone? Bueller?

We have ordered the Takahashi 4" focuser for some of our clients that had the 2.7" TOA-130 version Scott. They are a bit "pricey" at aroun 850.00 or so but it is dooable...

You would simply unscrew your current focuser from the OTA and thread on the new 4" focuser. There would be no collimation issues at all.

You could also change completely to a Feather Touch 3545, and it would probably be a similar price or less. Better? I won't go there.

Are you sure that the FT focuser will completely replace the stock Takahashi 2.7" on the TOA Gary? In other words would it simply thread onto the rear of the ota tube??

Nope, but if it doesn't already do this I am sure that Starlight will entertain making one. I can check, or Scott can, they are great to deal with.
