| I have a FS-102 focuser that seems a bit stiff. In fact I just installed a micro-focuser and it only racks the focuser one way, it slips turning the other. It's not the locking screw. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike |

| Hello Mike. There is a fine adjustment on the MEF that adjusts the amount of slip you have. I suggest that you contact Fred Garcia at TNR @ 713.529.3551 and ask for him. He will be able to walk you through the adjustment necessary to make the MEF smooth as butter in BOTH directions.

| Sorry Mike that I miss-read your original question. Under the original focuser there is a small cover that is held on by a flat chrome fastener. Remove this and you can adjust the amount of resistance the focuser has. You have adjust it in VERY small amounts as a little bit of a turn makes a BIG difference in the way the focuser feels. See if this helps any... Thanks Brian. I don't believe it's related to the fine focuser. The main focuser was a bit stiff before I installed the MEF. The MEF not racking in one direction is a by-product of the stiff focuser in the first place. I was wondering if there is an adjustment in the focuser I'm not aware of. Mike |
